Ashens and the Polybius Heist

Hello!

Backerkit surveys are going out as I type. Ashens and the Polybius Heist will soon be available to stream through your eyes and ears. I'm not sure how long it takes for them all to go out so keep an eye on your inbox for the next day or so.

Go through the survey (your pre-paid perks from Indiegogo will have already been entered), add any add-ons you fancy, finish up and shortly afterwards you'll be sent a VIP code you can enter on the Vimeo page for the film (https://vimeo.com/ondemand/polybiusheist) for immediate access!

Things you need to know
Vimeo's messaging when you put in a VIP code for a video that's not yet public is awful. It claims it will charge you on the 19th (no it bloody won't, it won't charge you at all) and then tells you that you can't watch the video until the 19th - even though you can click the visible play button and it will start playing immediately! It's very confusing. Please watch this video I have prepared to allay confusion:

So what is Backerkit? It's an admin system to confirm your address, distribute codes and offer upgrade options. You can upgrade a DVD copy of Polybius Heist to Blu-ray (may not be possible in all cases), grab hold of the collectable badges and prop replica coin if you missed out the first time, and also get the digital video packs of Unseen Ashens and Weird British Sports if you wanted those.

There's also a brand new video pack - The Lost Ashens - which features 2.5 hours worth of videos from days gone by that are no longer online for various reasons. It's super-exclusive, only available to you folks through Backerkit as I can't distribute any of the featured videos widely.

There are also a few more sofa slices, made up of spare stock in case any got lost in the post and needed reissuing. I know a lot of you were after those so jump now if you want one - when they're gone they're very much gone!

Obviously all the add-ons are totally optional, but what is not optional is checking your address during the Backerkit process. PLEASE CHECK YOUR POSTAL ADDRESS! If you've got physical items on order, that is where they'll be sent. Also be wary - any change you've made to an address through Indiegogo in the last 14 months may not have gone through, so be very careful.

Please note that you will NOT get a survey for side perks as they've been fulfilled already, and very few people took one without a main perk too, so don't worry about any multiple-survey-confusion.

And... That's pretty much it. Except the return of Ashens and the Quest for the GameChild, at bloody last! We've finally managed to iron out all the problems and get it available again. Check out this video for full info:

Well... we did it folks. The movie will be with you shortly and we really hope you enjoy it. We're incredibly proud of it and we absolutely, literally couldn't have done it without you. Thank you so much for your support, both emotional and financial.

The journey's not over for us of course. We've still got physical perks to fulfil, and we need to sell the film to the world to make back the portion of the budget that wasn't crowdfunded.

Hello!

It's 2 weeks today until the official wide release of Ashens and the Polybius Heist. As lovely backer folk you'll have access before then - in fact we're hoping to send it to you a full week early. More on that when we know for sure!

But for right now, here's the main trailer for the film. Please be seated when you watch this, as it may create a powerful feeling in your brain and body.

And to keep you in the loop: We'll be sending out surveys via Backerkit in the next few days. These will let you double-check your address before the discs are sent out, as well as let you upgrade your pledge to a Blu-ray or DVD if you should want to do so. (This will be the only chance to get physical copies before Christmas - a release for the general public won't be available until well into next year.)

Hello!

James Bond and Ghostbusters and Top Gun and Minions and Black Widow and Dune and Godzilla and many, many more have moved to 2021 releases. We haven't though, which is why our film is better!

Ashens and the Polybius Heist will be released digitally on 19th November 2020.

But! As backers, you'll have access to your digital copies before then. Annoyingly, we're not quite sure when. It won't be more than a week early for tedious technical reasons, so some time after the 12th. We'll let you know when we know.

For physical discs, everything is on track to have them delivered to you before Christmas. (They won't be available to a general audience until waaaay into next year.)

FAQ

Q: Will backer downloads be available in 4K?
A: Yes.

Q: Can I upgrade my digital-only pledge to get a disc?
A: Almost certainly! We'll be sending out surveys to make sure we have everyone's address correct, and upgrades should be an option.

Q: Are goblins real?
A: No.
